Dream1227 is an experimental short video that creates a small, private and intimacy landscape. Employing extreme close-ups from a microcamera inherently unable to achieve precise focus instead naturally fosters intimacy. Visual elements included the interior of a dragon fruit, carpets, wooden floors, skies, a chair's skeleton, and the fruit mesh— symbolically deconstructing the ontological existence of familiar forms through distorted representation. This visual approach metaphorically reflects Ginny's experience as a China-born artist, highlighting her pursuit of visibility and recognition for the essential being of all humans. The soundtrack features contrasting auditory layers: clear, intimate birdsong suggesting reality, juxtaposed with distant, atmospheric guitar and vocal melodies, enhancing spatial depth. "1227," referencing Ginny’s birth day, anchors the piece to her reflections and uncertainties regarding navigating the world. This work create a viscosity, ambiguity’s poetic visual imagery, manifesting a fragmented, fluid, and indeterminate contemporary state.
